For past tense questions, we use a similar structure, but instead of „do/does,“ we use did. The structure is:
Question word + auxiliary verb (did) + subject + main verb + object
Examples:
- Did you have a big breakfast today? What did you eat?
- Where did you go last Saturday?
- What film did you see last week?
Notice that the main verb stays in the base form after „did.“
